The Trees Are Dancing
The trees are dancing in the wind
As their colourful cloaks are shedding their leaves,
Creating a vibrant pattern under my feet.
The clouds in every hue of gray
Leave their imprints on the mountainside.
The valley is spotted, dark here, with distant sunniness.
The air is cool with the taste of fall,
Refreshing and fragrant with earthy scents,
That linger around me as I run.
My four legged friend comes alive on this glorious day,
Up ahead, looking back with that grin on her face.
Keep up with me, catch me if you can!
My pace quickens, picking up her energy,
My hair blinding me as it’s tossed by the breeze
As we run together in delight.
