The Tornado

What little gray in the sky is quickly turning black.
As the rain pounds the ground, making holes in its attack.
Such rampant fury I’ve never seen as the lightning speaks its might.
What was the middle of the day so quickly turned to night.
The wind starts howling as if to beckon in the storm.
With the warning clap of thunder telling you it means to do you harm.
At first you feel the sting of the sand and the debris as it slaps against your face.
Then you sense the terror that’s quickly taking place.
The roar is so loud like a thousand crashing trains.
As it bears its path across the land, total destruction is all that remains.
Sheer awesome power unleashed in all its glory and its might.
An awesome display of beauty but also one of fright.
Total annihilation to anything that stood its ground.
And to make it even worse was that awful frightening sound.
You have to see a tornado up close to really understand.
Just how really small we are in our Masters hand.
