The Tiara

There are many vices
That have disgraced the tiara,
And many crimes
That secured its plethora.
Man has conveniently forgotten
What took place in the past.
Doesn’t the world know—
All this pomp will not last?

Three and one half years
Have been appointed for its reign,
Then our precious Lord
Will come back again.
To save His children
Who have not bowed down
To the tiara of man
Or any other crown.

Most of the world doesn’t acknowledge
The Savior as King,
But honors man instead
With the pride such honor brings.
Why is man so short-sighted
To see only what is tangible.
Christ didn’t wear a tiara
But simple garb was his apparel.
To show the world His Father’s glory
No wealth was required.
Christ’s love towards the people
Was the Tiara they aspired.
