The Third Eye In Hinduism-N

The spirit or third eye is the center to see the world
Without it there is all pervading spiritual darkness.
We are truly spirits who occupy physical bodies
Without bodies couldn’t be a part of physical reality.

Boosts functions of perception, intuition, visualization
Its element light, the seat of the Soul, color indigo
The ability to see within and beyond the physical
Between eyebrows the tenth gate of inner realms.

In Hinduism one of the Lord Shiva of Trinity is three-eyed
It symbolizes spiritual knowledge and power or wisdom
Left eye the moon, right the sun and fire the third
Known to annihilate the evil activities in the physical world.

Interesting Read Dr. Ram. If only we would all take the time to understand and tolerate the beliefs of others. I have learned from you again!

Gosh, I'm learning so much about the "third-eye" from your series of poems, Dr. Ram. You have an amazing knowledge of international cultures and history. Bravo! Love, Carolyn

this is a concept which has been shared throughout our human pre-history,dating back further than the Egyptians and the Mayans...seems like the ideal has been one which all cultures understood along the equatorial center of the earth, our ...the 8th reveals the 9th & 10th ; it's the first 7 conscious levels which constitute our journey in this physical reality... Chardin said it best,"we are not humans learning our spiritual being,we are spiritual beings having a human experience..." peace , jay

Doctor, I've done a little side reading on the Hindu religion. I have seen in black and white print what you have stated here; especially in the last verse of your work. This is very descriptive.
