Notes About The Poem

I have began to realise many support the untruth

leaving them a blind victim possessed by lies

The Thief of Joy

Do not let fear control you
the most terrifying monster released
is the one whom is invited into your soul
This delusional disorder has drifted faraway from the truth
those that support taking away the joy of living
afraid in the end of death they will be held captive beyond belief
Hounding the innocent destroying the balance of rights
the cure becomes the curse unmasked by demons
hiding behind a body is this warped sense of security
Tormented by ill judgement they accuse everyone but them self
ego follows a narrow path following corrupted politics
lawmakers have become unlawful enforcers driven by power
Bought by their lack of understanding victims of destiny
when knees bend every mistake will become visible
there is no place to hide we only have one life
when the sands of time run out how did we cope with trials

It does seem that lies and deception have become the normal and people would rather believe a lie instead of the truth. Enjoyed reading your work this morning. Sara

So many inequities in life allover--a powerful write in search of truthfulness.

- You're right ... The truth is that all people lie, every single day - But when the lies take a serious direction, how to mock the liar? - Black stories about white liars ... the world's most powerful men are a liar, it gets dangerous - A powerful poem, Liam - Have a lovely weekend ... take care :) - hugs // Anne-Lise :)
