“The teacher who walks in the shadow of the temple, among his followers, gives not of his wisdom but rather of his faith and lovingness.”
- Kahlil Gibran, "The Prophet," page 56, copyright 1923
Time stands still in the rainbow window of the soul
Mixed in colorful kaleidoscopic clouds
Awaiting His return
Anticipating the spiral staircase descending from Heaven
Like a tornado about to touch down,
I sit motionless in a dreamlike delirium state
Gazing. Hazing. Raising my hands slowly into the air,
I prayerfully praise His name as Wonderful Counselor
I shall do my best to live by His excellent examples
Of compassion, forgiveness, and charity
He gave the ultimate sacrifice for my sins
So, I sing His hymns unto the four winds
In hopes He will hear my voice vibrating
In hopes He will hear my heart humbling
In hopes He will return soon
Especially during my lifetime of longing. . .
