The Sureness of Dawn's Coming

Darkness holds this morning hour
as all lies still and sleeping.
I bid my mind take me
where my eyes still cannot.
And yet, dark branches begin
to stand apart from the blackened sky
with the sureness of dawn’s coming.
And there is so much.
For it must surely come.
Pulling back the thick blanket of night,
dawn’s first light ever so slowly
begins to wake all that has
laid hidden and sleeping.
Object forms begin to come forth
in these first moments of light
as if to say,” I too am here”.
And faithfully, once again
as morning wakens,
light rules the day.

The last line is one from the Faithful One and I know that He is glad that you used it. Keep the creative pen flowing. Sara
