Best Timemorning Poems
Darkness holds this morning hour
as all lies still and sleeping.
I bid my mind take me
where my eyes still cannot.
And yet, dark branches begin
to stand apart from the blackened sky
with the sureness of dawn’s coming.
And there is so much.
For it must surely come.
Pulling back the thick blanket of night,
dawn’s first light ever so slowly
begins to wake all that has
laid hidden and sleeping.
Object forms begin to come forth
in these first moments of light
as if to say,” I too am here”.
And faithfully, once again
as morning wakens,
light rules the day.
Dusk
wraps its
gentle arms
around my soul
and its shadows hide
the sorrows of the day.
I find a certain respite
from all the needs of daily life
and can drift once more in peaceful rest,
its soft touch reassuring and hopeful...
Eyes bathed by the faintest of morning light
peaking through the windows of my mind.
It warms the corners of today
with the promise of new life.
A morning lark begins
to sing her glad song,
greeting day and
bringing forth
joyful
Dawn...
