The Supreme
THE SUPREME
The stage is beautified and decorated;
The canker worm beliefs in himself;
The destroyer who is full of deceit,
The lion roars,the ground trembles,
Who can touch him?,the king and controller,
License to seize and to envelop,
The director smiles with kin interest,
The flies shower encomiums on the mighty,
Cut!cut!!cut!!!called from the back stage,
And every thing ceased,the curtain drawn.
Then comes the soothsayer with captivating words,
He professes miracle with a passion and vision,
Which confesses variable with a mission and illusion,
All for the stomach and pocket,
Which makes the ants more confused and bemused,
His emissaries play the piano and sing with meliflousity,
Crumbs were thrown to the dogs to stop barking,
The director grew annoyed for this shabby display,
He holds the key to begin and to terminate,
Cut!He shouted behind the scene and all ceased.
