The Sun

The sun rises and warms
It touches my face
Sweetly, like a kiss from a lover
Lovingly, like a sleepy smile from a child in slumber
The warm caress flows
Lightly on thy skin
Showing that thy father smiles
And does not weep
It is his love that this shows
As if he is telling the world
I love you
Be not afraid anymore
For i am here and will keep thy
In my heart

While riding up the Seine River in Paris on a boat, I saw some French graffiti on a wall saying "vive le soleil" which means "long live the sun". This is a good first write here. Welcome Karah.

It's easy to see why our far ancestors saw the Sun as a God. You caught that concept well.
