The stripes that pointed down

That, her much-pied stripes pointed down
Scarce be why Tories lost their crown,
Or alter way around,
Easy it scarce be found,
Perhaps a frown was on him who was brown—
A hint, to all of us
May look atrocious,
Inviting our very own frown.

Poet’s note: The Tories have lost and lost heavily in UK. Experts may point at a lot of reasons as to why. Is it why PM Sunak’s wife wore stripes that pointed downward? Or is it the other way around? This ditty has its own tongue-in-cheek take on the matter. The idea is just to laugh.
