The Strength
Your whole existence has been nothing but told one thing: To relent
It would make everything so much easier for you if you did
And you would fit in with everyone else
No sense of purpose or anything
But you chose not to heed the words and had a purpose
Forcing the world out of the darkness
Your parents informed you that you were inept in everything
And just to yield
It would make everything more uncomplicated
They would love you and finally be a family
Just like you desired
Your teachers mocked your brilliance, no doubt fearing that you could achieve something
They allowed bullying from your peers
Hoping to devastate you and make you like them: No aim
Just like them
But you didn’t take heed to anything they say
They were simply envious of you, and their words held no facts
You showed no weakness as they flick insults at you
They realize that you might rise above them, and they are frightened
You showed too much potential for them to handle
They want everything to stay the same forever
The Darkness is familiar to them
But despite everything, you stand victorious, and the light feels wonderful
