The Streets Lights Are Down

The street lights that led to my heart
are turned off for the moment
when the lights turn back on,
you'll see a changed man,
with a road paved of gold leading
to the warm place, called my heart;
and see all those beautiful women
turn and drive 55 miles per hour
down that golden road,
being led down by the street lights
that burn bright,
in the summer evening twilight.

Chris What a creative and unique write. I hope the lights in your heart turn on soon and you will find the love of your life. Nice job my friend.
