The Stream of Kindness - Mystic
Nobody wanted to listen to him.
Nobody wanted to give him their full attention.
Those who listened only did so with reservations.
They would give him a look that could strip the words from anyone,
thinking he was taking advantage of the moment,
believing he was cashing in on the razzmatazz of the place.
He felt distraught and despondent,
worthless and miserable.
It was a bright and sunny weekend,
a lovely day for shopping.
I didn't take my usual route but chose a different corner,
And I stumbled across some money on the floor.
I picked it up and looked around.
The closest person I saw was a young lad sitting all alone.
I walked up to him and asked if the money belonged to him.
Suddenly, tears streamed down his face,
drawing my attention and concern.
I told him to wipe his tears,
and he narrated his ordeal to me,
explaining how the urgency of his situation made him seek help.
I was deeply moved with compassion,
and I gave him the money I had intended to use for shopping,
as well as the money I had just found.
He thanked me and hurriedly went to attend to his pressing matter.
I felt a profound sense of emotion as I saw him raise his hands to the sky.
Someday, everyone will listen to him.
Someday, he will tell the world how he sailed through his fears, tears, and perplexities.
Someday, his meadow will blossom.
