The Streaker

Cletus O'Toole was a whiz 'mongst streakers

   And the darling of 'exposure'-seekers

      He was a down-right nuisance

         But due to cops' impuissance*

            He raced 'round town in just socks and sneakers

*Inability to act

Thank you. Cletus seems to always be under a dark cloud and you'll probably hear more of his escapades as time goes on. We "barely" hear of streakers anymore but it was a great fad a few years back. Best to you - Bob

Good one, Robert. And I love the name Cletus, as I am always looking for odd names for my imaginary characters. Hope you don't mind if a use this one. As for me, I'm not doing well, fellow poet, my diabetes is the culprit. But I plug along with it. Your concern is touching. Best to you as always. / M

Thank you, Maurice & I pray the diabetes situation will settle down. Use old Cletus in your writes & I know you can come up with some witty verse - I have no copyright on that name - ha! As a kid used to work for a farmer named Cletus & have always thought it an unusual moniker. Best to you - Bob H
