Robert Kinard Poet Quatrain

The Story of I

I am a single man 
living a single life.  
I had my share of kids 
I never had a wife.
  
I'm older than you think, 
and younger than you feel. 
I like going to the movies 
and eating damn good meals. 
 
I retired from a job where I was off 
every night of the week. 
I have a lovely young lady
who, truly makes me weak.

Now I love that lovely lady 
and she's trouble enough, 
she takes her time with me 
because,  I don't like it rough.

I live in a nice house 
and  I have my own car too.  
I been known to write poetry 
When I have nothing better to do. 
 
I write poetry from my own point of view. 
If you take your time 
and add a little heart, 
you could write poetry too.
