The Story
I had to get out,shoes quickly upon my feet
I burst out the door not knowing who I was soon to meet
Something pushing something pulling me where I needed to be
A feeling I wasn't sure how to take
An emotion so serial, surely a fake
Suddenly serendipity seamlessly shoving me somewhere
''Then a blur''
My next memory was of hundreds of people with the faded face
Except for one starring back at me
What pray tell did this magnificent creature see
All it took was a moment,a simple glance
A second in time
An eternity she offered with but one chance
So i said Hi,how are you''what more did I need''
Satisfactory not satisfied-thank God for greed
May I steal you for a moment for these words I can't let pass by
Maybe just words in the wind to you
But this will be our story please don't make me lie
She turned with that calculating smile and infectious laugh
It was so unfair
But hello I did say,such a simple and remarkable word on this day
Many more word,thoughts,memories and children we would soon share
A Great Adventure,nothing could compare
I was blessed with this wonderful life for fifty-six years
Then father time came along to steal our minds and take my dear
So to those whom dare not try- trust me in this
Just say Hi
