The Storms of Life
The storms of life that slaps your face
And steals you from God’s warm embrace
The angry waves that crashes in
The raging tides that seem to win
The howling bitter wind that blows
And throws its victim to and fro
The waters fill and rock the boat
You wonder if you’ll sink or float
You start to question is God there?
Is He asleep, does He not care?
Then Jesus answers, “Peace, be still
This storm of life, it is my will
I’m holding you, you will not drown
Your faith is grounded, rooted down
Through storms of life I’m standing near
You’ll cross over, no need to fear
