The Storm Is Coming

I remember the love we shared, We thought it would last forever. We talked about How we would, Grow old together rocking on the, Front porch laughing at, Each other's stale jokes. Then I see the dark clouds form The smile is gone. The laughs have disappeared. All I see is the look on your, Face that tells all. What I see when I look inside, My heart is the person I fell in love with. You were my best friend. The one person I could tell, All my hopes and dreams to. Now it's all gone because, The Storm is coming, And I can't stop it. It is lost forever.

Hi Shirley, Many can relate to your poem; who doesn't want a forever love? It is so sad when a love story turns bad. You described it very well. What exactly happened? You give the reader just enough to get their minds spinning. Good title and content. Have a nice day-Alexis
