The Storm
it crashes and bangs against our doors
wind whistles at our windows
it pushes the trees out of its way
the storm has arrived today
turns the blue sky grey
it pours water upon us
release it's rage
the deadly first stage
drowns the gentle greens
sends precipitation down to earth
screaming released undiscovered
all we can do is run for cover
distant growling is to be heard
electric bolts thrown down
tears branches and leaves away from the tree
until there is no more to be see
as time moves on the storm will pass
the rumbled shouts will grow quiet
and all that will be left is the mess
leaving you with no more or less
