The Steps Ahead

the reference to the mythological River of Lethe added deeper meaning to your poem...the river being part of the underworld and symbolic of forgetfulness, etc. The narrator feels as if he's in circles within circles...his own form of hell. A thought provoking and powerful read. Well done. Am faving, Sara

That's right. Only when he has drank some water from the river Lethe and forgotten his life can he move on to be reincarnated, but ... in his new life things feel familiar ... thanks for reading Sara
