The Stench of Moldy Cheese

Pungent scent plays on the breeze ~ what a stink!
One I think, makes me sneeze
Gagging with each breath, I wheeze
Because of that moldy cheese!

Lol I love all kinds of cheese, especially "stenchy, moldy" ones, Lin, but I'm forbidden from smelling them, let alone eat the! :) I like the poem, especially the rhyme scheme. ~ Regards // paul

As poems go, Lin… that’s a stinker… in a good way, of course

Lin, really cute. I'm looking at this and thinking I need to organize a European excursion to sample all the various raw milk cheeses. They do this so much better than we do. Smiles. It's a way to preserve food that leads to all kinds of tastes!! Smiles!!

I haven't found many cheeses that I don't like, Duke. I think your smiles should be preserved. ;-)

Hi Lin :-) Nice to read you! I love cheese, however, blue cheese is very nasty. I love Englyn poems :-)

lol Abdullah. The blue looks nasty but it's a pungent cheese. This was my first Englyn poem, but I like the form, too.

I'll have no bad words said about mouldy cheese thankyou....there is nothing better than a slice of "blue" on a cracker taken with a glass of red. Although it does stink out the fridge... Your gagging and wheezing however, my dear Lin, is an acceptable excuse. Love the poem. Cheers...I'm off to the fridge !
