The Spitting Image

I wonder why my parent said
She’s the spitting image of grandma dead

For in death, grandma did not look her best ~
though she still aced the saliva test

Haha, good point, people are always saying about cute little babies "(s)he looks just like some ancient person - that's ridiculous - lol!

Hey Gershon, Your poem gave me a good chuckle, sharp, clever, and full of that dark humor that only a true poet can pull off so effortlessly. It’s funny how you take something so familiar and make it fresh and surprising for poetry doesn’t always have to be serious to be meaningful. Summer Blessings, My Friend, Daniel

The day I get serious about poetry, is the day... I stop writing poetry.

I think I'd wonder too...perhaps a puzzle? No, maybe a riddle? :-)
