The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord Is Upon Me
the spirit of the sovereign Lord is upon me I know and believe it is true
the spirit of the sovereign Lord is upon me its plain to see in everything thing I have been through
his spirit is with me in my heart I feel that warm glow
his spirit is with me every where that I go
he is closer than a sister or brother
there can never be another
the Lord will work through me as I come and go
for his Glory and for more people with him will come to know
he will shine his light in every smile
in every kind word
stories of his love will be heard
the spirit of the sovereign Lord is upon me
but its only by faith that I am free Amen
Isiah 61 v1
the spirit of the sovereign Lord is on me
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor
he has sent me to bind up the broken hearted to proclaim freedom for captives and release from darkness to prisoners.
