The Soup Bowl

Her many dinners, so made with love
Had always left her children without a want
Though times were difficult, money scarce
There was always broth to warm the chill away

Each night, sitting seven around
She scooped her creation into the chipped bowls
As smiles formed on the innocent faces
She knew she provided and did what she could

It was from this soup dish all her love poured
Everything she ever did is symbolized by this
For this reason I keep her soup dish to this day
Proudly displayed as a forever reminder of love
