The Sound of Silence

As the voice of darkness
Fades into the deep recesses of my heart
already laden with the temper tantrums
of everyday life,
I see your face in the fading light
Bright, blooming....
Breaking the shackles of time.

I listen to your voice in the
awakening of dawn,
In the chirping of birds,
Laden with a promise of a better tomorrow
A tomorrow without Death
Without misery
Without disease
Without sadness
Without the gruesome rape of life
A tomorrow full of promises
Full of hope
Full of life

I hear your voice
Even when you don’t speak
I hear you…..
I hear….. the sound of silence
