The Sound of Home

A little head bonk turns a frown upside down;
Just a little tug on your dangling hair,
a silly ball of yarn and they become a clown;

With a chorus of purrs following everywhere
running around chasing catnip
with large eyes, they hold your stare

the very definition of love and friendship
little ears hiding in the shadows
a jump, a leap, a crazy back flip

Picking you up when you’re low,
a cat’s meow turns a house into a home.
