The Sound of Heartbreak

A year of friendship, Destroyed in a single day, My heart is breaking as you drive away. Every memory of us comes rushing back to me, But something is different about them, They’re all full of sadness. My heart beats faster every minute, Longing for more oxygen, To replace the air lost as I hyperventilate. I can’t hear anything, Except for the sound of my own heart breaking, As if it’s separating from the parts that you were in.
