The Song of a Forlorn Traveller

I have embarked on a journey
The wandering spirit is upon me
My heart and soul are fixed
My legs are hungry for a walk

All my pains are gone
My only pr-occupation is to keep on moving
Keep on moving to where the spirit directs
My eyes are closed but my mind is made up

You wandering spirit lead me on
Would this journey lead me to my destination?
I do not know but I do hope so
Lord lead me on to wherever you direct

I cannot afford to look back now
Cause I have been stuck there for eternity
I must keep on moving
To keep an appointment with fate

Destitution had always been my companion
Poverty had always dogged my very existence
Loneliness had brought me nothing but misery
As I sat daily under the tree of abandonment
I have set out on a journey
A journey of no return
I must keep on moving
I must not retreat I must not give up

I have been fooled around for so long
Waiting for the pie to fall
But all was a dream and a mirage
I must keep on moving

I waited for a Good Samaritan to pull my chestnuts from fire
However, the wait was too long
I must keep on moving
I must move to possess my possession

I have taken my destiny in my hands and heart
Because no one could do it for me
Now I am free
I have been liberated
Clear cut goal has set me free
Determination has given me victory
Conviction has made me a winner
Persistence has given me success
Rise today from your doldrums
Keep on moving
Success is in your hands
Failure is by choice
Keep on moving and never look back!
