The sky is crying…
Like a gentle southern rain,
Falling, pouring, pounding out a beat
In rhythm with the memories,
The tunes of forever that we played,
History’s not winning, though….
The sky is crying…
Like the storms across the night,
Silencing the stars and moon with yearnings
Trembling echoes who blow away the
Hopes, the dreams, the pent up feelings
Bleeding like forever calling…
The sky is crying…
Like a burning bridge in the distance,
Reminding with a sigh that wherever I turn
There are passions burning, fading
Beneath clear, soft showers, drizzling
Storms releasing forever…
The sky is crying…
There is silence in every direction
My faith is yearning, quivering beneath
The presence of a memory, a burden
Left to make me believe – to remember
Forever is still waiting…
Somewhere, the sky is crying tears of joy
Because, despite the pain, there has been
More to gain in the shuddering remains…
Forever, I pray… still changes the rain
To the clearest sunny day – still, I will never
Turn you awayyyyyyyyyyyyyy
