Notes About The Poem

Constructive criticism is welcome if you have some, but I hope you like it  I was thinking of Chicken Little when I wrote this - the movie where a piece of the sky falls.  Then I thought, "what would I do?"  Try to put it back, of course.  But since it is a children's movie, and children are not usually tall enough to do anything, like drive or ride things at Disneyland, the rest of it came.

The Sky Falls

The sky falls
Piece by piece, tumbling,
Crashing, silently.

I pick up one piece,
Then another, and
Try to put them back.

Finally I stop, you see,
I'm not tall enough
To reach the sky.

I'm not tall enough to reach the sky. That was wonderful. Loved it. We can connect this poem to many things.
