The sky and me
Serene silvery shore~
stones warm from the day’s last sun,
driftwood curled like forgotten letters,
and the tide returning, slow and certain.
Above, the aurora unfolds
like someone remembering
a soft love story
told only in pastel colors.
Oh, northern lights~ hurry not!
stretch more and scatter,
wrap me in the silent night
before you vanish
as if you weren't there.
I stand still,
salt on my skin,
watching the sky dissolve into the sea.
