The Single Life
Singleness is not a desert
So cut out desperation with scripture
The God who created the universe also made you
He made the parts you're uncomfortable with in the same love as where you are confident
So bloom with patience
Don't be so quick to give away what God took His time with
Unlike what is said
Singleness is not being alone
It's oneness with the Creator
Harmony walking with Unity
The most intimate you'll ever be with God
This is your time to fall in love for the first time
Take a stroll and learn how the artists looks at you
Reconcile with yourself through His forgiveness
Honor your temple and reject the stones
Nothing could ever taste like the living water & daily bread
So stop putting someone in his place because,
When they come over to your place
He'll only fall further behind
You can only love another less than the love you give God
So how much do your actions and intentionality say you love God
Do they reap gratitude or sow pride
We are called to follow him and he gave up everything
Singleness is the Diamond and Marriage is the ring
Meaning the jewel must be purified before it can be supported by the ring
You're not going in circles you're elevating to eternity
This journey is a precious gift from the I am
So stop looking for the gift receipt
The Bible says it's better to be single
That doesn't mean marriage is wrong
But when your choice replaces God's
You end up keeping stats instead of covenant
So stop looking at others because sometimes what appears to be a gem is simply glass
Purity is the Diamond and Marriage is the ring
Meaning we should be thriving in this state of
Worship, so lift up your hands and dance
Pray without ceasing because he never ceases to amaze
You are a diamond in the rough and if you're called to the altar
You must alter your flesh
Prayerfully preparing for purpose, because
The union of marriage is for Gods glory not your pleasure
Ask God what is best for you
Devotion is the Diamond and Marriage is the ring
Meaning diamonds are hard to find so don't be frustrated when who God has for you takes time
Because if you're solitude is solely singing to the soul
You won't even have to look
If you're praying the spirit will be your eyes
So keep learning to walk by faith and not by sight
No one said it would be easy so yes things will get rocky
But this is the best time to celebrate
p.s. never let a rock cry out for your singleness…
