The Silly Loves of My Life
I fell in love with a dark haired boy,
Who gazed into my heart.
He whispered, "If you'll marry me,
Our love will never part!"
Then I fell in love with a blonde boy,
Thought love was here to stay!
But he said the same old thing to me,
And I slipped away that day!
Then came a brown haired boy
And I just lost my head,
Til he told me the exact words,
The other two boys had said!
I knew that love had closed the door,
Somehow, I didn't care.
I closed my eyes and opened them,
And a red head boy stood there!
He caught my arm and held me close,
Then whispered in my ear,
"Marry me. It may not last,
But what the heck my dear?
Now we have three children,
I'm happy now I know,
As happy as on my wedding day,
Fifty years ago!
