The Silence Fell Like Winter Snow

The silence fell like winter snow,
Wrapping the landscape in an eerie quietness,

For a moment,
Bringing calm,
to our collective madness,

A gift
From heaven,

A glimpse offered,
As to what it is to be sane,

A Stillness,
That we may know our way back,
In the storm.
