The Selfish American Soliloquoy


Note.....this is not autobiographical., PR hardly me!


I am so livid with jealousy, I hide behind a mask of humanism.

I make 75',000 dollars a year, but see myself as poor.

I grew up in America but was taught Communism to hate the rich 
and love the poor and I think I am right!

I don't like people who make more money than I do, I see to it they are destroyed and defamed.

I think God said to hate the rich, so if a poor man robs me, it is OK.

I despise my employer or any company as they make more than I.

I am green with envy. I love money very much, so why isn't all of it 
mine?

Why doesn't  the government do more for poor little old me?

To some people, the richer they get, the greedier they get...then they become jealous because they don't have as much as their neighbor. I am in the same bracket as you my dear, and I have a very happy and grateful for life for what I have. I almost thank the lord for not letting me hit the mega-millions...almost (lol) Great message and write, Panagiota. Hugs x

You knowCharles, there is a drumbeat here that we must love everyone. However, there is a very loud beat to despise the rich as if they were dirt. It's so ridiculous. I do know wealthy people. They are very philanthropic and if they want to make more, so be it. I am where I am because I was brainwashed decades ago to think, the less I have, the better of a human being I am. I can tell you plenty the envy in the poor. God loves the rich and the poor even, if we insist on using money as a yardstick to judge others. An empty pantry is no fun...a full wallet is no guarantee of happiness and not the sign of an evil human. The rich vs poor is very Marxist. That really scares me. You've nailed the philosophy of the academic liberal left. Had to laugh; it's so utterly absurd and demeaning. Hard to believe that a sentient thinking being can make such calculations. Bravo, Pangiota! :) Gershon

LOL...it is the theater of the absurd! I almost fainted when I read teachers in Chicago wanted their rent paid? Only one comment. If you want big money, be a stock Trader at the Board of Trade. Teaching is not a gold mine. Been there, done that.i think it's a gift to be able to teach the young! I feel a poem brewing. Panagiota xx

Lying is another. I forgot the names of the all the vices. I would add that humanism cannot take the place of God. Human leaders can't be perfect. That's God's territory. We think we can control the planet! Hah! We can't control ourselves. "Voluntary Human Extinction" goes directly against what God taught. He said, "Be fruitful and multiply." The end of the world will come. And it's far worse than climate change...Panagiota xx

Perhaps this problem is universal and has been here since man began? People get so jealous. I just do not understand Lindsay. I am nowhere in that tax bracket. I can't take flights worldwide, nor have what others do. Is that their falult? NO, it's mine. Yet I suffer from unending gratitude! I am eternally Grateful just to be able to breathe. Honestly! Or see another day. You can read in comments to your poems, how totally green people are with envy. Do they eat jealous toast for breakfast with bitter herbs? Small people are the most jealous and envious.will they change? Some might! Yes. Thanks for responding. Shows you big and gracious heart! Panagiota xx
