The Secret Land of Forget-Me-Not
Way up high beyond the stars
is the happiest place to be,
the secret Land of Forget-Me-Not,
you can get there easily.
Close your eyes and make a wish,
the sandman greets you there,
dancing fairies with colorful wings,
sprinkle magic dust everywhere.
Become a princess or a knight,
or fly where spaceships go,
then search for a treasure chest,
filled with cookie dough.
Chocolate leaves dress the trees,
and everywhere you look,
your favorite characters come to life
from your picture book.
Float above marshmallow clouds
across a polka dot sky,
or catch a piece of the yellow moon
and bake a lemon pie.
Bury yourself in colored balloons,
purple, blue and red, then
blink your eyes and your home again,
tucked safely inside your bed.
The path to the Land of Forget-Me-Not
is hidden from grownups and yet,
your heart will remember the mystical place,
your dreams won’t let you forget.
