THE SEARCH

As the years pass where are you?
Did I miss you by a few seconds
As you turned the corner before me?
Was that your voice as a whisper
I heard from a distance?
I know in a crowd I would have since you were there.
Maybe if I tell you about me you will come.
I am the woman you have been waiting for.
I am the lady who will make you fall to your knees
with the immense power of love I have for you.
I am the friend who will pick you up
And let you know that everything is okay.
I am your lover who will kiss your cheek
And caress your brow.
I will gently take your hand and when
I look into your eyes, you will see, and
You will know our search is over.
