The Sealed Box

do you see this hermetically sealed box?
inside it I kept the greatest anguish
things that would hurt me too much
if they were out there
I already told you about the deposit
Where do I accumulate similar boxes?
I think so
It's a huge edifice and it threatens to collapse
I walk around the building
making the repairs I can
time passes and i'm becoming a watchman
protecting the content from theft
I'm afraid
because I've already taken so much from me
that I don't even know what's left...

Now that's a provocative poem, Marco. I'll have to think about this one. A poet friend in Texas, Bill

Another fine piece of writing, Marco. I was sort of reminded of Pandora's box, but I'm certain it was not hermetically sealed. We all have certain secret places we protect from unwanted appropriation. Interesting that what you have in the box was taken from you. Good, interesting writing.
