The Scribe

A soul, poured onto a clean sheet
Sharing, private thoughts,
Telling, secrets.
Now, black and white.
Salty tears on the rough.
Yet the clean sheet shows no imperfections.
A life spread across the page.
The life of a writer.
Submit, submit, and submit.
Should you give up?
No, not yet. I know,
I know it’s important.
Sharing and baring.
Yet, still, many rejections.
I will hang my head tonight.
Tomorrow, I shall
do it all again.

I've really been enjoying your poem and the emotions and imagery were so vivid that i could easily picture them as beautiful illustration. Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
