The Scorching Summer Sun

THE SCORCHING SUMMER SUN Heat waves are burning breaches through my skin, Touching my soul and melting me from within, I dissolve in a puddle of dark brown liquid, Swimming in my salty sweat like a squid, The sun is too hot for me to bear it, If it were possible, I would not spare it, Now I am at the Sol's receiving end, How do I stop His flames, how do I defend? The sultry sun is igniting my frame, I swelter under his scorching scalding flame, The torrid hot ball tortures me to tears, I can't stand his fiery frying warmth that sears, Perspiring heavily under the summer sun, I cannot stand or walk, while he is having fun. 05.20.20

The temperature is going up quickly all of a sudden, Jo! Your description of the scorching sun and its effects on you are vividly projected. I love summer, but not the heatwaves! ~ Best regards // paul

This reminds me of ten days of summer where the temperature was averaging one hundred and ten degrees once upon a time in Kansas.
