The Scars That Have Shaped Me

Loneliness while there was a family
A tragedy when there was hardly a relationship
Father and Mother apart
Yet I grew stronger
Now that is the art of survival

Relationships gone wrong
Physical attraction and
That is just a fraction of the story
Yet I grew stronger
Now that is the art of survival

Friendships gone wrong
The heart can be fake
This will make you see the real person
Yet I grew stronger
Now that is the art of survival

The scars that have shaped me
Taught me that life goes on and
Brought me to the place of resilience
The scars that have shaped me
Showed me the essence of life
