The scales of Lady Justice

The scales of Lady Justice

Slapped in the face on the left in the right.
Exposed in all my private place.

Choked by the cord of avenge and revenge both seek.
Stung by bees of foul and lied speech.

Yanked arms by extreme deception.
Legs mired in the sea of corruption.

Can Lady Justice no longer hold the scales
 in this American land?

Democracy is at risk everywhere and it's frightening. There seems to be this idea that if a politician shouts the loudest then they must be right. Unfortunately many voters seem to think so anyway. We have lost the true art of debate. Those who lie to stay in power or gain power usually have something to hide. My thoughts only. I enjoyed the read. Cheers - Gary
