The Scaffolding of Skeletons
They brought water and food to eat.
The heat savaged rancorously.
Devastation had come and gone.
Calamity destroyed our homes.
Today ruins are catastrophic.
They brought water and food to eat.
We thank the Lord for this blessing.
Allah shook our world to conquer.
An act of kindness at random
done through our bonding with others.
They brought water and food to eat.
They brought shoes and clothes, our needs.
We walked abreast and we rested.
To our redeemer, we pray daily.
His strength empowers our willpower.
They brought water and food to eat.
