The Sandal

Was there ever a person like me
In time, before me?
Did he roam the earth quietly?
Or did he walk the earth violently?
It is funny I never considered
Anything like reincarnation
I leave it all up to the imagination
Life after death?
I will get to the answer
Once I catch my last breath
So many questions
Who can answer?
So, little time
Eternity is a friend of mine
No matter where I was
I always had time
Don’t worry about me
I have always been fine
Even if the good life wasn’t mine
Always wondering how
To make my next dime
My only scope now is to rhyme

Matt, very nice. Yes, "little time" - we don't have time for all the questions, but we have time for some of them, even if it's just how to say what we want, and to make it rhyme. I am glad to see your work.
