The Sacrifice
The Sacrifice
How can I forget that day,
you asked me to leave the Temple, my Beloved,
once upon a time, on a dark and misty morn, rending
us apart, so strange, so forlorn.
Why must I be the Limitless, entombed in a limited form?
Now quiet my beloved sit still, do not mourn!
Why did you cry when you were born?
Does the chrysalis weep for the butterfly born?
