The Sacred Meow Society
Hail to the Royal Family, posed for their formal portrait
On King Randolph's right is his consort, Queen Margaret
Young Prince Lance is behaving and holding very still
I heard his Papa warn him, "Lance, can you just chill?"
Little Princess Penelope had to wipe away her smile
for a serious picture. She's such an obedient child.
This photo will soon be hanging on the portrait wall
of the Sacred Meow Society's newly constructed hall.
They've donned garments worn by their leaders of old.
Fine clothing brocaded and woven with threads of gold.
Each member is well-groomed, and fluffed is their fur.
Queen Margaret's so content that I can hear her purr.
Royal heads wear crowns encrusted with precious jewels
King Randolph is loved in the kingdom that he kindly rules.
The family is aristocracy of the Society; a pure bloodline.
but are well-respected members of the species of feline.
Society members don't dine on china for afternoon tea.
They instill peace in the neighborhood to relieve anxiety.
The children are taught to be loving, honest and kind
and no better example of camaraderie will you ever find.
