The Rose

My heart yearns to rise early
to have you in company;
Your dazzling native beauty
attracts the crowd at Tiffany.

Even the birds of Rome
come on their way to roam
to see your sweet smile
and your charm that's so docile.

Shining hair of ebony,
cheeks that bury deeply,
voice that sings a rhapsody,
brings to life a fantasy.

Rose that is pure divine
give me a glimpse of your smile,
let the morning sun
tell the rore to shine.

Moon river I shall venture
on the fair sands of your shore;
May the lash of your nature
rope the heart that I adore.
