The Rose

Do you remember the day I got a rose from you?
I was so young, how could I value the very you?
I thought the knight I had in mind was not you.
You didn't unveil for me what you deeply knew.
You gave me that rose and no words came from you.
I shivered inside and shy tears blurred my view.
Your rose bloomed and I smelled the very essence of you.
I now embrace your beauty, my knight, that's you.
A blessing from God in my life having you.
