The Road

"THE ROAD"

I know what I feel
and you don't.
even if I told you,
you'd only understand
it from your brain
and not my soul.
don't tell me what I
feel.
all my life,
I have been told what
to feel.
all my life,
I have been told I
was the fool.
the assessment always
comes from those who
preach love but never
practice it.
as the lights hang
from the trees,
the swing moves by the
dock.
coincidences change my
life again and again.
fate only changes
the daze in the days,
and as I look around
I see everybody else
is infinitely more
screwed up than I am.
